This specimen was part of lot 73101 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2026), where it sold for $1,159. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. Group of 2 Reales (14 Pieces), 1844-53. Guanajuato Mint. Average Grade: VERY FINE. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Reales Minors." Two reales were struck at Guanajuato 1825-63 and 1867-68 with assayer PF recorded for 1848-68.
