This specimen was lot 6226 in Ponterio sale 155 (Baltimore, November 2010), where it sold for $230. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Culiacan. 8 Reales, 1851-CE. Weakly struck in the center as usual, lustrous EXTREMELY FINE-ALMOST UNCIRCULATED." The Culiacan mint struck eight reales 1846-97 and this date is rare.
