This specimen was lot 30391 in Heritage sale 3081 (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $2,400. The catalog description^[1] noted, "Cuba, Republic gold Proof "Stadium" 100 Pesos 1991 PR69 Ultra Cameo NGC. Depicting the "Estadio Olimpico" in Barcelona. From the El Don Diego Luna Collection." The year 1991 saw the release of many NCLT's by the regime featuring the 500th anniversary of Columbus's discovery of America. Greeted by disinterest from the world at large, many are now rare. The stadium shown here was built for the Barcelona Olympics.
