This specimen was lot 1715 in Jean Elsen sale 152 (Brussels, September 2022), where it sold for €135 (about US$163 including buyer's fees). The catalog description^[1] noted,

"CUBA, République (1902-), AR 50 pesos (5 oz), 1991. La Giralda. 550 p. frappées. Flan poli. (republic of Cuba, silver fifty pesos (five troy oz) of 1991, tower of La Giralda, 550 pieces struck. Proof.)"

After the release of many self-congratulatory NCLT's was greeted by disinterest from the world at large, the regime switched to less political topics such as sports and history.
