This specimen was lot 72183 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $85. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 25 Centavos, 1876-Zs S. Zacatecas Mint. NGC EF Details--Obverse Scratched. Second finest of only two graded by NGC. Old scratches under tone. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Decimal Minors." This specimen is a common date of a series struck 1870-90 at the Zacatecas mint.

Recorded mintage: unknown but common, including assayer A.

Specification: 6.77 g, 0.903 fine silver, 25 mm diameter, reeded edge.
