This specimen was lot 41200 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Costa Mesa, CA, August 2021), where it sold for $5,760. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 20 Pesos, 1876-Mo B. Mexico City Mint. NGC MS-63. The single finest certified for the date on the NGC population report, none finer. Seldom encountered in this high state of preservation, the strike is bold with well-defined motifs. The lustrous surfaces display a thin veneer of tone adding to its pleasing appearance. This highly desirable and attractive survivor offers much originality sure to catch the attention of quality conscious collectors." The Mexico City mint was the largest producer of gold twenty pesos, striking them 1870-1905.

Specification: 17.28 g, 0.900 fine gold, 0.500 troy oz AGW.
