This specimen was lot 6206 in Ponterio sale 155 (Baltimore, November 2010), where it sold for $287.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Chihuahua. 8 Reales, 1855-RG. ALMOST UNCIRCULATED." The Chihuahua mint struck eight reales 1831-95. Many of the early dates are rare but this one is still scarce. The SCWC lists the normal date and a overdate, the 1855/45.
