This specimen was struck at the Culiacan mint in 1852. This mint struck silver and gold coins 1846-1905, with one reals known for 1846-63 and 1869. The minor issues of Culiacan are generally scarce but some dates, such as this one, are common. Only the overdate is reported for this year.

Specification: 3.38 g, 0.903 fine silver, .099 troy oz ASW.
