This specimen was lot 73177 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2026), where it did not sell. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. 2 Reales, 1852-Zs OM. Zacatecas Mint. NGC EF Details--Cleaned. Second h[ighest] graded of two examples by NGC, other is AU Details. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Reales Minors." Of the fourteen mints of the Republic of Mexico, only Oaxaca did not strike this type. Zacatecas was a major producer of two reales, striking them 1825-70. Assayer OM (Manuel Ochoa and Manuel Miner) served 1831-56 and this is a common date. The SCWC cites no varieties for the year.
