The type was struck at Mexico City 1825-63, with assayer GC listed for 1848-55. The second specimen was lot 57613 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2024), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 1/2 Real, 1850-MO GC. Mexico City Mint. NGC MS-63."

Recorded mintage: unknown but common.

Specification: 1.69 g, 0.903 fine silver, .049 troy oz ASW.
