from the Stack's Bowers sale of the Kirk Menczer Collection, lot 71126

This specimen was lot 71126 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $168. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. 5 Centavos, 1876-Go S. Guanajuato Mint. NGC AU Details--Cleaned. Only example graded by NGC. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Decimal Minors." Shown is an 1876-G^O S five centavos, of a type struck 1869-97. This issue from Guanajuato is a slightly scarce date.

Recorded mintage: unknown but fairly common.

Specification: 1.35 g, 0.903 fine silver, 14 mm diameter, reeded edge.
