This specimen was lot 73200 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, June 2020), where it sold for $144. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1868-Mo PH. Mexico City Mint. PCGS AU-50 Gold Shield. Mostly deep gray surfaces, with some hints of iridescence throughout along with scattered darker spots." The Mexico City mint struck this type 1824-63, 1867-69, 1873-97 and most dates are common to very common. Assayers CH and PH are recorded for 1868.
