This specimen was lot 72194 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2020), where it sold for $264. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Mexico|MEXICO]]. Real, 1855-Go PF. Guanajuato Mint. PCGS MS-63 Gold Shield. The only example of the date in the PCGS census, this choice piece presents a good deal of colorful iridescence on the obverse as well as a radiating brilliance throughout." This specimen was struck at the Guanajuato mint in 1855. This mint struck silver and gold coins 1812-1900, with one reals known for 1826-62 and 1867-68.
