Künker sale 352, lot 2075

This specimen was lot 2075 in Künker sale 352 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €550 (about US$766 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"REGENSBURG, STADT, 1/16 Dukat o. J. (1750). GOLD. Stempelglanz. (Germany, city of Regensburg, undated 1/16 ducat. Uncirculated.)"

The 1/32 ducat of Regensburg may be the smallest gold coin ever minted in Europe. It accompanied a 1/16 ducat (shown here), 1/10 ducat, 1/8 ducat, 1/6 ducat, 1/4 ducat, half ducat, single ducat and various multiple ducats. This tiny coin, while not common, is affordable.
