Künker sale 405, lot 3244

This specimen was lot 3244 in Künker sale 405 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €1,400 (about US$1,837 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DIE REICHSSTADT REGENSBURG. DIE ZEIT DES KAISERS FRANZ I., 1745-1765. Goldmünzen aus der Zeit des Kaisers Franz I. 1/16 Dukatenklippe o. J. (1750). Münzmeister vermutlich Johann Christoph Busch. GOLD. RR Vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (city of Regensburg, undated one sixteenth ducat, circa 1750, struck in the name of Francis I. Cabinet example, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"

The SCWC lists three types for this denomination: KM 358 (eagle/keys), KM 359 (klippe format, shown here) and KM 360 (crossed keys/crowned "R").
