Künker sale 405, lot 3242

This specimen was lot 3242 in Künker sale 405 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €2,600 (about US$3,412 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DIE REICHSSTADT REGENSBURG. DIE ZEIT DES KAISERS FRANZ I., 1745-1765. Goldmünzen aus der Zeit des Kaisers Franz I. 1/8 Dukatenklippe o. J. (1745-1765). Münzmeister vermutlich Johann Christoph Busch. GOLD. Prachtexemplar. Vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (city of Regensburg, undated klippe one eighth ducat. Cabinet example, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"

Both the SCWC and Friedberg mention this klippe eighth ducat but omit the similar klippe half ducat.
