Künker sale 405, lot 3241

This specimen was lot 3241 in Künker sale 405 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €1,900 (about US$2,493 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DIE REICHSSTADT REGENSBURG. DIE ZEIT DES KAISERS FRANZ I., 1745-1765. Goldmünzen aus der Zeit des Kaisers Franz I. 1/8 Dukat o. J. (um 1750). Münzmeister vermutlich Johann Christoph Busch. GOLD. Prachtexemplar. Vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (city of Regensburg, undated one eighth ducat, circa 1750, struck in the name of Francis I. Cabinet example, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"

The SCWC lists three different type for this denomination: KM 321 (eagle/keys, shown here), KM 322 (klippe format) and KM 323 (eagle with sword and scepter).

Specification: 0.43 g, 0.986 fine gold, this specimen 0,42 g.
