Ponterio sale 155, lot 6304

This specimen was lot 6304 in Ponterio sale 155 (Baltimore, November 2010), where it sold for $373.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Guadalajara. 8 Reales, 1858-JG. Ex: Ponterio Auction #142, lot #443. Weakly struck in the centers, beautifully toned. UNCIRCULATED." For 1858, the SCWC lists no varieties but the date is scarce to rare.
