This specimen was lot 41300 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $576. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Brunswick. 12 Mariengroschen, 1735-IAB. Zellerfeld Mint. Ferdinand Albrecht II. PCGS AU-55. One year type. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." Three different designs were used on this denomination in 1735 (KM 811, KM 866 (shown here), KM 867) because three different dukes ruled in that year. This one is scarce. Twelve mariengroschen made one third of a thaler or half a gulden.
