This specimen was lot 74491 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Brunswick. 24 Mariengroschen (2/3 Taler), 1735-IAB. Zellerfeld Mint. Karl I. PCGS AU-58. A very attractive example with lustrous steel-gray toning. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck throughout Karl's long reign and is common. Other gulden struck in the name of his predecessor, Ferdinand Albrecht, exist for 1735 (KM 868 and KM 869).
