This specimen was lot 74488 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Brunswick. 24 Mariengroschen (2/3 Taler), 1734-IAB. Zellerfeld Mint. Ludwig Rudolph. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, UNC Details. Despite the noted cleaning, this example offers deep olive-gray toning with cobalt highlights and lustrous surfaces emanating from below. Attractive. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck for Ludwig Rudolph 1731-35. He was previously duke of Brunswick-Blankenburg.
