This specimen was lot 5539 in Künker sale 354 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €4,400 (about US$6,124 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRAUNSCHWEIG UND LÜNEBURG, BRAUNSCHWEIG-WOLFENBÜTTEL, FÜRSTENTUM, Ludwig Rudolf, 1731-1735, seit 1714 in Blankenburg. 1/4 Reichstaler 1734, Zellerfeld. Von größter Seltenheit. Feine Patina, vorzüglich. Aus der Sammlung eines Ingenieurs. Exemplar der Slg. Dr. Ahlers, Auktion Fritz Rudolf Künker 39, Osnabrück 1997, Nr. 3347. (Germany, duchy of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, Louis Rudolf, 1731-35, duke of Blankenburg since 1714, quarter thaler of 1734, Zellerfeld mint. Extremely rare, fine patina, extremely fine.)"
The quarter thaler is a scarce denomination for this state altho it was struck fairly steadily 1732-50. This style was struck 1732-34.
