This specimen was lot 55532 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Brunswick. 24 Mariengroschen, 1736-IAB. Zellerfeld Mint. Karl I. About Uncirculated Details -- Scratched. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1735-80 for Karl I and is common. Twenty-four mariengroschen made two-thirds of a thaler or a gulden.
