This specimen was lot 74492 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Brunswick. 24 Mariengroschen (2/3 Taler), 1737-IAB. Zellerfeld Mint. Karl I. PCGS AU-55. A pleasing example of this appealing 'Wildman' type, exhibiting light, honest circulation wear and remnants of original patina. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck throughout Karl's long reign and is common.
