This specimen was lot 74509 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $100. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Brunswick. 6 Mariengroschen (1/6 Taler), 1738-IAB. Zellerfeld Mint. Karl I. PCGS AU-55. This attractive specimen pairs a slate-gray obverse with an argent reverse augmented by subtle russet and golden toning. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck throughout Karl's long reign and is common.
