This specimen was lot 1137 in Sincona sale 22 (Zürich, May 2015), where it sold for 750 CHF (about US$942 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Wolfenbüttel, Herzogtum, Karl I. 1735-1780 Taler 1736. Zellerfeld. Vorzüglich-sehr schön. (Germany, duchy of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel, Charles I, 1735-80, thaler of 1736, Zellerfeld mint, extremely fine-very fine.)"
This type of 1735-70 was struck concurrently with a "wild man" thaler (Dav-2145) but is much scarcer.
