This specimen was lot 22372 in Stack's Bowers ANA Auction (Denver, CO, August 2017), where it sold for $176.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel. 4 Mariengroschen, 1739-IBH. Karl I (1735-80). NGC MS-63. WINGS Approved. Well struck with light amber tone and strong underlying luster." This denomination was one-sixth of a gulden or one-ninth of a thaler.
