This specimen was lot 661 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €380 (about US$512 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRAUNSCHWEIG UND LÜNEBURG, BRAUNSCHWEIG-WOLFENBÜTTEL, HERZOGTUM Johann Friedrich, 1665-1679. 2/3 Taler 1679, Clausthal. Mit römischer Jahreszahl in der Rückseitenumschrift. Fast vorzüglich. Exemplar der Slg. Bernhard Terletzki. (duchies of Brunswick-Luneburg and Brunswick Wolfenbuttel, John Frederick, 1665-79, two-thirds thaler of 1679, Clausthal mint, with date in Roman numerals on the reverse. About extremely fine.)"
