This specimen was lot 71124 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $660. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 5 Centavos, 1874-Go S. Guanajuato Mint. NGC MS-64. Finest and only numerically graded of just three examples in NGC census. Scarce date in very nice condition. Missing in the Banco de Mexico Collection. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Decimal Minors." The Guanajuato mint struck this silver five centavos 1869, 1871-81, 1886-97. Recorded mintage: unknown but a somewhat better date.
