This specimen was lot 2835 in Goldberg sale 78 (Los Angeles, January 2014), where it sold for $911. The catalog description[1] noted, "Mexico. 10 Pesos, 1874-Do M. Republic. Scales and Liberty cap. Reverse: Eagle. NGC graded EF-40." The Durango mint struck this type in some numbers 1872-84 but most dates are scarce and those specimens which do appear are often harshly cleaned.

Specification: 16.92 g, 0.875 fine gold, .476 troy oz AGW.
