Shown is a balance scale fifty centavos, of a type struck 1869-1895. This issue from San Luis Potosí is a slightly better date. Like most fifty centavos, high grade specimens are extremely rare. Other mints include Hermosillo, Zacatecas, Alamos, City, Chihuahua, Guanajuato, Culiacan and Durango. A second assayer, H, is noted for the year but is slightly scarcer.

Specification: 13.54 g, 0.903 fine silver, .393 troy oz ASW, 30.5 mm diameter, reeded edge.
