This specimen was lot 4133 in Goldberg sale 85 (Los Angeles, June 2015), where it sold for $270. The catalog description[1] noted, "Mexico. 8 Reales, 1873-Go FR. ANACS graded MS-64." The Guanajuato mint issued this type 1825-70 and 1873-97 and most dates are readily available. Assayer FR is listed for 1870-78. The balance scale peso is much more available for 1873.

Recorded mintage: unknown but slightly scarce.

Specification: 27.07 g, 0.903 fine silver, .786 troy oz ASW.
