This specimen is the final date of a series struck 1861-67 at the Hermosillo mint. This date is the commonest of the three dates, 1861, 1862/52 and 1867/1. The SCWC lists only the overdate, 1867/1, and no normal date. The reverse shows the "Sonoran eagle" occasionally used at the Alamos, Culiacan and Hermosillo mints. Mushy, weak strikes are the norm for this scarce issue.
Specification: 6.77 g, 0.903 fine silver, .196 troy oz ASW.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
