Shown is an 1844Ga-MC four reales, one of a type struck at the Guadalajara mint 1843-63. Assayer MC is recorded for 1839-45. Ten mints (Mexico City, Guanajuato, Zacatecas, Potosi, Oaxaca, Hermosillo, Real del Catorce, Guadalupe y Calvo, Guadalajara and Culiacan) struck this type of which Guanajuato is tied with Zacatecas as the commonest mint. Guadalajara is not a common mint for four reales but this date turns up occasionally.
