Mexico 1844-Zs OM 8 reales

This eight reales is one of a series struck 1825-97 at the Zacatecas mint. This date is common. Assayer OM is recorded for 1831-55. This specimen was lot 6464 in Ponterio sale 155 (Baltimore, November 2010), where it sold for $230. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Zacatecas. 8 Reales, 1844-OM. CHOICE BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED."
