This specimen was lot 6300 in Ponterio sale 155 (Baltimore, November 2010), where it sold for $126.50. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. Guadalajara. 8 Reales, 1844-MC. Eagle of 1843. Nice strike, lightly cleaned. ALMOST UNCIRCULATED." For 1844, the SCWC lists no varieties. This date is somewhat scarce.
