Heritage sale 3064, lot 33500

This specimen was lot 33500 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $264. The catalog description^[1] noted, "Republic 4 Reales 1845 Zs-OM AU53 NGC, Zacatecas mint. A difficult date/mintmark to acquire. Pleasing for the grade with much residual luster." The eight reales of this date is common; the four reales is somewhat scarce.
