This specimen was lot 73144 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2026), where it sold for $292.80. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. 2 Reales, 1845-Pi AM. San Luis Potosi Mint. NGC AU Details--Cleaned. Second finest of three examples graded by NGC. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Reales Minors." The San Luis Potosi mint struck two reales 1829-30, 1837, 1841-46, 1849-50, 1856-63 and 1868-69, with a number of rare dates. Assayer AM (José Antonio Mucharraz) is listed for 1843-49. The SCWC notes no varieties for the year.
