Mexico 1834/3-Do RM 1/2 escudo

from the Mountain Groan Collection

The specimen shown is one of a series struck 1833-64 at Durango. Long^[1] notes this date as scarce but not rare, showing up about half as often as the 1836. All known specimens are either 1834/1 or 1834/3 and feature the "French" style eagle unique to the Durango mint.
