Ponterio sale 155, lot 6289

This specimen was lot 6289 in Ponterio sale 155 (Baltimore, November 2010), where it sold for $126.50. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. Guadalajara. 8 Reales, 1834/3-FS. Weakly struck on eagle's breast as usual, light scratches on the reverse, toned. EXTREMELY FINE-ALMOST UNCIRCULATED." For 1834, the SCWC lists the plain date and 1834/3, 1834/2 and 1834/0 overdates. This date is rather scarce.
