The first specimen was lot 8153 in Ponterio sale 159 (Baltimore, March 2011), where it sold for $518. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Guanajuato. 1/2 Real, 1834-GoPJ. NGC MS-63." This specimen was struck at the Guanajuato mint in 1834, one of a type struck there 1826-68. Assayer PJ is recorded for 1834-42.

Specification: 1.69 g, 0.903 fine silver, .049 troy oz ASW.
