This specimen was lot 6258 in Ponterio sale 155 (Baltimore, November 2010), where it sold for $172.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Durango. 8 Reales, 1834/3-RM. One small edge flaw, light toning, attractive. ALMOST UNCIRCULATED." The Durango mint struck eight reales 1824-95 and this early date is one of the readily available dates. The SCWC notes the overdate as an 1834/3/2, one of the few triple dates in the series.
