This eight reales is one of a series struck 1825-97 at the Zacatecas mint. This date is common. Assayer OM is recorded for 1831-55. The first specimen was lot 6461 in Ponterio sale 155 (Baltimore, November 2010), where it sold for $241.50. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. Zacatecas. 8 Reales, 1834-OM. Lightly toned. NGC MS-61."
