This specimen was part of lot 72128 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2026), which sold for $536.80. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Group of 1/2 Reales (11 Pieces), 1826-55. Guadalajara Mint. Grade Range: FINE to VERY FINE. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Reales Minors." It was struck at the Guadalajara mint in 1825, one of a type struck there 1825-62. Assayer FS is listed for 1825-36. Many early Guadalajara issues such as this one are listed as common but are not.
