from the Stack's Bowers sale of the Kirk Menczer Collection, lot 71376

This specimen was lot 71376 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $168. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. 10 Centavos, 1879/69-Mo M. Mexico City Mint. NGC MS-63. Tied for second finest of four graded by NGC. Attractive golden toning. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Decimal Minors." The Mexico City mint struck this type 1869-97 and was the most prolific producer of this denomination. The SCWC does not award this overdate a premium.

Recorded mintage: unknown but a common date.

Specification: 2.70 g, 0.903 fine silver, 18 mm diameter, reeded edge.
