CNG Lissner sale, lot 1926

This specimen was lot 1926 in Classical Numismatic Group's auction of the Richard Lissner collection (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $605. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO, Segunda República. 1867-1905. AR 10 Centavos. Ciudad de México (Mexico City) mint. Dated 1868 Mo. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 62. Original patina over lustrous silver surfaces. Highest graded for this date and a very rare type struck for only two years. Purchased from A. H. Baldwin & Sons, September 1968." An 1868/7 overdate exists and is awarded a slight premium.
