This specimen was lot 71106 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $2,280. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 5 Centavos, 1874-Do M. Durango Mint. NGC AU-58. Second finest of only three graded by NGC. Rare date in very rare condition. Missing in the Banco de Mexico Collection. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Decimal Minors." The Durango mint struck silver five centavos 1874, 1877-81, 1887-91 and 1894. Some of the later dates are common but this one is rare. The mint was closed in 1895.

Recorded mintage: unknown but a rare date.

Specification: 1.35 g, 0.903 fine silver, 14 mm diameter, reeded edge.
