This specimen was lot 73355 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $600. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Real, 1850-C CE. Culiacan Mint. PCGS MS-62. Featuring well-struck central devices, accentuating the coin's eye appeal, this Real has captivating original argent surfaces further enhance its allure and represents the single finest example grades by PCGS for the date." This specimen was struck at the Culiacan mint in 1850. The issues of Culiacan are known for 1846-63 and 1869.

Recorded mintage: unknown but a better date.

Specification: 3.38 g, 0.903 fine silver, 0.098 troy oz ASW.
