The regular issue ranged 1869-97 from Mexico City, Guanajuato, San Luis Potosí, Zacatecas, Chihuahua, Culiacan, Guadalajara, Alamos, Hermosillo, Durango and even Oaxaca. Mexico City issued this type 1868-97 and, while this date is common, it is seldom seen in nice condition. The catalog lists the overdate 1876/5 and no normal date. An overassayer, B/M also exists. The second specimen was lot 8956 in Ponterio sale 159 (Baltimore, March 2011), where it sold for $149.50. The catalog description[1] noted, “MEXICO. Mexico City. 10 Centavos, 1876/5-MoB. NGC MS-63."

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 2.707 g, .903 fine silver, .078 troy oz ASW.

Catalog reference: KM 403.7.
