This specimen was lot 71199 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $85. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 5 Centavos, 1886-Pi R. San Luis Potosi Mint. NGC VF Details--Bent. Second best of two in the NGC Census. Scarce. Original toning with a bend as noted by NGC. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Decimal Minors." Shown is an 1886-PI R five centavos, of a type struck at the Potosi mint 1869-79, 1886-93. This issue is not common tho it is not a rarity like 1869-PI, 1870-PI, 1872-PI or 1878-PI.

Recorded mintage: 33,000.

Specification: 1.35 g, 0.903 fine silver, 14 mm diameter, reeded edge.
